The city of Hyères les Palmiers offers visitors an unspoilt part of Provence at the foot of the Maures hills and bordered by the Mediterranean. Giens peninsula, 6 km long, is connected to the continent by two isthmuses forming the double Tombolo and separates the two sides sea. Peninsula draws the southernmost part of the Riviera. You will discover the typical ports of Madrague, the Niel, and Fondue tower and the village of Giens, located on the highest point of péninsule. Porquerolles Island, 20 minutes by sea from the Tour fondue [Giens Peninsula] is the pearl of Hyères. At the heart of the island, 200 acres of vineyards produce wines of great renown. The National Mediterranean Botanical Conservatory also collects on the island of large collections of fruit varieties.

 

On this piece of paradise, the roads lined with pines and eucalyptus, you will meet only bicycles and pedestrians. With more than 54 km of marked trails, the island offers many opportunities for hiking, such as you walk that leads to the lighthouse, the circuits at the Our Lady of the plain or on the side of the Lobster.

 

Enjoy the turquoise sea, the north bordering white sand beaches and steep cliffs of the south of the island.
